The future of agriculture is facing many new challenges. Already by the middle of this century, the world population will be around 9 billion. Therefore, new forms of production are necessary in order to meet the rising demand. The important thing is that the cultivation of organic products for ethanol production is at the rearmost. In addition, agriculture has to take its share in environmental services:
Another aspect is: Food safety refers to the handling, preparation, and storage of food in a manner that prevents contamination and reduces the risk of foodborne illnesses. It involves various practices and regulations implemented at different stages of the food production and distribution process to ensure that the food consumed by individuals is safe and wholesome.
Why my interest?
I think the work of agriculture is generally undervalued. The reasons for this are as varied and diverse as the societies and climatic conditions in Europe under which our food is produced. One thing is for sure: a bureaucracy always serves lobbyists first and then itself.
