I hear so many times how much bureaucracy is being involved to go down the path when trying to obtain the French Citizenship. Well if a year is long, I wonder what those crates would say that the very same process takes 2 year in Germany. Prefect Martin is a typical gentleman of the old school. In a department were unemployment is high and the Front National, FN, has many followers it is not an easy task to make it right for everybody, but the Prefect Didier Martin jovially moved around any controversy: on June 5, 2015 he officially handed over the family book and ID's to recognise French citizenship for 18 foreigners. The "New French" originally come from different nations: from Laos, Cameroon, Tunisia, Czech Republic, Great Britain-, Tunisia and Algeria. Over 400 New citizens were inaugurated in 2014 in the Department of Gard. The website of the Department GARD provides very comprehensive information for everyone who wants to apply for French citizenship. The company INTERNATIONAL MEETING in Nîmes offers courses for French language training which enables anybody interested into naturalization process (application for citizenship ) to pass the tests of "TCF" and possibly get a certified Diploma, the DILF (Initial Diploma in French Language) that which is part of the naturalisation process ….
