The Georges du Gardon offers walks in the heart of unspoiled nature. You will first stroll on the Gard hills, and then join the banks of the Gardon. its a bit over 10 km long walk. Because most of the visitors to this region are very careful and responsible: nowhere there is dirt, plastic, empty bottles, washing machines, refrigerators to see or simply lying around. But you need solid shoes. Also: It is a rather spring or fall hike because the route has very few places in the shade. It is therefore better to avoid the often stifling summer heat in this region.Sure you can go swimming in the river Gard. Its water is coming from the cevennes mountains and is even during the hot summer really refreshing.
