Animals often talk more rationally with their eyes than people talk with their mouth.
Shooting procedure
Checklist for a successful shooting here in my studio:
Your animal should not come to the shooting when he is full with food. A full animal would like to sleep and not work. If your pet has an allergy or prefers some treats, please bring plenty of them. Otherwise I always have different kinds of treats and food with me.
Please make sure that eyes, nose, ears or any nose creases are clean.
Before the shooting, take your dog for a little walk so that he can take care of small and big business.
Requirements for a successful shooting with dog:
Your dog must have a basic education (seat, space, stay would be optimal) except of course for puppies
Your dog is not excessively shy or afraid of strangers
Your dog is not aggressive or biting towards people and/or other dogs
What should my animal be able to do?
In general, animals are not to be programmed and should never be. Many photos result from the situation. I will never force an animal to take a certain pose. We can do a lot with treats.
For dogs in the outdoor area it would be an advantage if your dog could master the basic commands like "sit and stay". You should also be able to leash your dog. He should be socially acceptable if we are out with other dogs.
Your dog does not need to be able to do tricks. But if he has learned special things, please let me know so that we can include them.
Where do we take the photo?
Depending on where we arrange to meet for the shootings, I will either arrange a parking space or an easily accessible meeting point. If one of us is late, we have at best exchanged our mobile phone numbers beforehand.
For the treats and the "under the glass" shootings we meet at my place in the garage. Here we can also leash your dogs, as we can close the gate at the entrance.
How does the photo session work?
After the shooting you will get access to an online gallery within a few days. There you choose the pictures you want to have.
In the next step I will edit your selected pictures and make them available to you again afterwards. Digital or as a printout, just as you like.
How fast are the photos edited?
After the shootings I save the pictures directly and normally I edit the first ones directly. After you have chosen your favourites and informed me, I will edit the pictures and make them available online.
If you would like to have your photos as printouts you can do that through me or order your own prints with the digital files.
What if the animal doesn't cooperate properly?
Just like with babies, animals cannot be programmed. We take the time for the photos. It is important to me that we take the photos in a relaxed atmosphere. If we were stressed out, this would quickly spread to the animal.
- What actually happens in the run-up to my shootings, how does the processing look like and why are there different prices for the shootings?
- I would like to write down some information for you here. It's about the general procedure of the shootings, so that you and your animals can be completely relaxed during the shooting.
